Big IDEAs for Health
What is Big IDEAs for Health?
Big IDEAs for Health is a forum for The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center (OSUWMC) faculty, staff and students, and the general Columbus community, to pitch new healthcare product or service concepts and get immediate feedback from a panel of some of Columbus’ most notable business leaders and healthcare experts.
Three forums will be held during the 2014-2015 academic year on Friday August 29, November 14, and February 20, from 8-9:30 am in the Seminar Room (map and parking) on the sixth floor of Prior Hall, 376 W. 10th, Columbus, OH. There will be up to three preselected concepts for each forum. Presenters will have 5-7 minutes to pitch their new healthcare innovation and 5-7 minutes to take questions from the judges panel and broader audience. The judges panel will select one concept from each session to be eligible to compete for a year-end $10,000 cash prize on March 13th.
Ideas must be submitted at least 2 weeks prior to the scheduled event. [e.g., To be considered for the August 29th session, submit your idea by August 15th.] Ideas not selected will be considered for the remaining years' sessions.
Big IDEAs for Health is a great networking opportunity for innovators, investors, entrepreneurs, students, and healthcare providers. If you haven’t yet attended, this is your chance to join in and hear about new healthcare ideas that can improve patients’ lives here in Columbus and around the world! Coffee and light refreshments will be served.
